Convergence Solers at the Sole Support for Parkinson’s Resources of Oregon

At Convergence Networks, we are passionate about making a positive impact in our community. This year, through our Convergence Cares program we were excited to join the Annual Sole Support Walk for Parkinson’s Resources of Oregon.

Parkinson’s disease is a progressive disease that impacts the brain and nervous system. It occurs when nerve cells in the brain don’t produce enough dopamine, a chemical that’s vital to our ability to move. Many people experience slowed movement and tremors along with muscle stiffness and changes in balance. There may also be non-motor changes including anxiety, depression or sleep disruptions.

Parkinson’s Resources of Oregon (PRO) is a donor supported non-profit with the sole mission of advancing the quality of life for people with Parkinson’s, their families and caregivers.

Every year PRO hosts their Annual Sole Support for Parkinson’s Walk. It’s a day of fundraising and awareness, uniting hundreds of participants from across the area in a day of support, community, celebration, and purpose! Hundreds of people from our area came together to show their support, community spirit, and enthusiasm for this cause.

The Convergence Solers had an amazing time taking part in the annual walk. It was incredible to see so many people from our community come together to support such an important cause. We want to thank all the participants, sponsors, and volunteers who made this event a success. Your efforts are truly making a difference.
