Convergence Cares: Making a Difference This Holiday Season

As the holiday season approached, our Convergence Cares initiative once again united our offices in a shared mission to support local charities and make a positive impact in our communities. This year, our efforts were more impactful than ever, and we are excited to share the highlights of our charitable activities.

Ottawa – Cornerstone Housing for Women

Convergence Networks team volunteering and fundraising for local charities, supporting communities during the holiday season.

In Ottawa, we raised and donated $750 to Cornerstone Housing for Women and contributed multiple items from their holiday wish list. Cornerstone Housing for Women is a local non-profit that provides shelter and women-only programs to the Ottawa community. As the largest women-only shelter in Ottawa, they have over 130 staff and more than 200 volunteers supporting the community. A Day of Volunteering

On the day of our volunteer activity, our team was eager to make a tangible difference. We spent the afternoon at the Greater Lansing Food Bank facilities sorting food donations. Our tasks included evaluating donations for food safety, boxing, and bagging items for distribution. This hands-on experience gave us a deeper appreciation for the meticulous work that goes into ensuring efficient distribution.

Volunteering together was a fantastic team-building exercise. It allowed us to step away from our usual work environment and collaborate in a different setting. It reinforced our commitment to giving back to the community and highlighted the importance of supporting local organizations that make a significant impact. We are proud of our team’s dedication and look forward to more opportunities to volunteer and support worthy causes in the future.
